PE & Sport Premium Funding
What is the primary school sports premium?
Since April 2013, the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, media and sport have supported funding to support delivery of PE and school sport. Funding was allocated to develop primary sport in schools. The Government, until 2020 guaranteed this funding.
Schools will directly receive funding to support improvements in the quality and depth of PE delivery, physical activity, and school sport. Each school will be allocated funding each year. This money can only be spent on sport/activity and enhancement of physical/PE provision.
Outcomes of this funding
High quality provision will focus on a range of outcomes, designed to deliver a balanced and holistic PE and school sports curriculum. Our main focus is on up skilling our staff enabling teachers to deliver first quality P.E. provision across the whole school. We also offer a range of after-school sports clubs football, tennis, cricket and martial arts all free of charge.
