At Edgewick, children and their families are at the heart of everything that we do. We understand that there will be times when extra support is needed both in school and at home.
The well-being team have an open-door policy and encourage anyone who needs help or advice to visit school and share any worries or concerns that they may have.
The well-being team is here to help with issues such as:
- Safeguarding and social care
- SEND
- School attendance
- Housing and benefit signposting
- Food bank support
- New school arrivals
- Mental and emotional support
- Behaviour management both at home and school
We work closely with the local hub and take an active part in offering early help support.
Please pop in if there is anything you wish to talk about. We really are here to help.
Leaders ensure that all staff receive the training they need to identify and report safeguarding concerns. They follow up all the issues that staff report. Leaders act swiftly to protect pupils who may be at risk. They work well with families and external agencies to resolve issues. Leaders and governors have the required expertise to manage safe recruitment and deal with concerns about staff.
